To succeed CP80 needs supporters all over the country and the world. That means you must help us in educating the masses about the problem and the solution!
Religious organizations, PTAs, and other civic groups are often interested in learning more about the Internet pornography problem and what they can do to help protect children. This is your opportunity to become the face of CP80 in your community.
CP80 has provided the following tools to help you in your presentation. These are available in the Resources section.
Approach the director of the group you wish to present to and let him or her know that you’d like to make a CP80 presentation to the group. Make sure that the meeting is included in announcement bulletins or newsletters of the organization. You may want to extend special invitations to local ecclesiastical, civic, or business leaders. Inform CP80 when and where you will be presenting and let us know if there is anything we can do to help.
As preparation, review the CP80 Training Courses, the CP80 power point presentation and accompanying script, as well as the CP80 Frequently Asked Questions document. You should be prepared to answer questions. If questions come up that you can’t answer refer the person to cp80.org, or they can email info@cp80.org directly.
Stay calm! You have read the material, you are prepared, and you will do great. Talk about why and how you got involved in CP80. This will help people to better understand you and the message you are trying to share.
Keep it short and remember to allow time for questions. Direct the group to visit www.cp80.org where they can find out how to join Team CP80 and help spread the word as well! Don’t forget to distribute the flyers.
Find out from the organization leader if there have been any follow-up questions or requests. Contact CP80 and let them know how the meeting went. Write up a short description of your experience that can be shared in the “Share Your Story” section of the website, or possibly included in the next edition of the CP80 Newsletter.
Informing and educating as many people as we can will only help CP80 grow. Don’t be afraid to stand up for what you believe and to tell others about it!
