Power of Porn

According to the Middletown Journal in Ohio reported a follow-up on a 4 year old firing for porn in the workplace.

In 2003 H. Scott Campbell, then Finance Director for the West Chester Township resigned his post after losing Internet access because co-workers complained that he was watching pornography at work.

Last year Mr. Campbell returned a laptop the the township government, which was trying to determine the severity of its financial problems after Mr. Campbell's resignation. The laptop held 38 pornographic videos - but no financial information. A year later, and 4 years after his resignation, the city is still working with an unsure financial situation and has already paid $25,000 to the state.

In Mr. Campbell's case pornography didn't only distract from his work -- it seems to have totally replaced it. Chris Tuell, a professor at the University of Cincinnati's attributes it to porn's addictive power "They continue the behavior despite losing their job, their marriage. We can only assume sex addiction will increase because of the accessibility"

Prof. Tuell continued "[Viewing porn at work is] a silent epidemic. It really is the only way I can categorize it." Experts expect the problem will only continue to grow, causing more problems for individuals and costing companies more money unless something is done to limit porn access in the workplace.
