CP80 was organized based on the fact that history's greatest communication tool offers users little to no choice in determining the quality of their Internet experience.
CP80 is not alone in its belief that the Internet is broken. Universities including Carnegie Mellon, Princeton, Rutgers, and Stanford are proceeding with research initiatives that would in essence create a new Internet, fixing problems that plague our current network.
The National Science Foundation, the United States Department of Defense, and the European Union have also created_at programs to explore the possibilities.
These projects recognize the deficiencies of the current Internet and hope to learn from past mistakes in order to create a safer and more secure network.
The CP80 Foundation supports this research and encourages these organizations to consider the social ramifications of the Internet in developing a network that empowers users and enables them to control their Internet experience.
The CP80 Foundation is pleased to offer free training to individuals who wish to learn more about the Internet, pornography, current laws and the CP80 Internet Channel Initiative.
