University Study Illustrates Reach of Porn

The University of Alberta released a study earlier this year which reported that one in three 13 year old boys in Alberta watched Internet pornography "too many times to count."

429 students filled out an hour long questionnaire. Results showed that the Internet was the most popular avenue for accessing such material; 75% of the participants had been exposed to pornography on the Internet.

The CP80 Foundation supports the ideas expressed in this article; parents need to talk with their children about using the Internet and help them to understand what sort of material they will inevitably run into. Parents are responsible for teaching and protecting their children.

Parents are not, however, alone in this endeavor. A sustainable society needs children who grow up with normal and healthy attitudes about sex, the opposite gender, and relationships. Pornography warps these attitudes and can assist in the development of sexual deviants.
