Teen Social Site Owned by Pornographer

Alex Becker a former vice-president of Stickam says that the website is owned by Wataru Takhashi, a Japanese businessman who also owns a large network of websites that offer live sex shows on the Internet. Stickam allows users over 14 to chat live online through unfiltered web camera feeds.

Mr. Becker said that Stickam shares office space, employees, and computer systems with some of Mr. Takhashi's pornographic websites. He says that the workers "only know how to conduct an adult web site. They don't get it that here are predators on the Internet." Becker left the company 4 months ago because it was not doing enough to protect the children using Stickam.

Becker also said that he saw pornographic on-camera performers being trained on how to fulfill customers "requests." With all the concerns parents ahve about social networking sites and the Internet, they shouldn't need to be concerned that the people pushing their child's favorite site are also pornographers.

Becker confirmed the existence of a disturbing trend - pornographers from other countries come to the United States to serve pornography back across the ocean. Speaking of Takahashi's companies Becker said "They are leaders in pushing porn via a Flash player and streaming porn from the United States to Japan. Takahashi told Becker that he came to the US to serve porn because of Japan's "restrictions on depicting explicit nudity."

Mr. Takahashi is not the only businessman to take advantage of the United States' tolerance for pornographers - making the United States the largest exporter of pornography in the world.
