Global Porndemic: Taiwan

The Taiwan Bureau of Health Promotion and the Mercy Memorial Foundation released the results of an online survey showing that 65% of the students responding had been exposed to pornography. The survey also found that first exposure in Taiwan takes place between 13 and 15 years old. 15% of high school seniors in the survey reported being exposed before they were 10 years old.

15.3% of students in their final year of elementary school had been exposed. By the time you get to high school seniors the number rises to nearly 70%.

Yen-Han wen, the CEO of the foundation said that "parents need to provide ' correct' sex education to their children to keep them from imitating pornography."

Clearly, the porndemic and the awareness of its reach and effects, are spreading.
